Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. In this video we're going to show you how to replace the blower motor resistor on this 2000 Honda Accord, usually, when your blower motor resistor starts to go bad, you lose one or two fan speeds so for example, the fan works on low in position two but the doesn't work on three, it works on fours. That's usually an indicator that your blower motor resistor is going bad and the only tool you'll need is a Phillip's screwdriver.
Okay, your blower motor resistor is up underneath. It's right here where this blower plug is. You can see a little tab on the backside. You're going to push on that tab and then pull the connection out. It shouldn't be a pretty difficult one to disconnect. Now there's two screws. Okay, I'm going to speed up as I take those screws out and I think I did a pretty good job here considering I'm holding the camera with one hand and working the screwdriver with the other. Okay, and there's your resistor out of the vehicle. There's nothing wrong with this resistor so we're just going to reinstall it. It's just a video to show you how to do it. I'm going to speed it up here again and you can see this is pretty easy repair. Just a couple of screws and getting that connector apart. That connector, actually, getting that apart was the most difficult part, just pushing that button and pulling it out. We're plugging you close and you're all set.
