Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!

Hey guys, Sue from 1A Auto and today we're working on our '07 Mazda 3 sedan, 2.0 liter. And we're going to remove the air filter and examine it, and reinstall. If you need any parts for your car, head on over to 1AAuto.com.

Hood release is located right here. Safety latch is right above the Mazda symbol. Right in the center, and you just turn it over to the right. And then you have the hood prop rod, and you put it in where the arrow goes and it says, "Rod." Right in there, and lock it in. I've got to remove these three clips. This one might just be a pull up, so body clip. There you go. These plastic clips are just like a little Phillips. I like to just pull them up a little bit, and then I can wedge them out with a screwdriver. Set that aside.

Now we're going to remove this, right here. And we have two air box clips in the side over here. One, two. And then two in the back. One right here. And then another over here. We'll see how difficult it is just to undo the clips, and see if we can lift the cover up to get the air filter out. So I'm going to undo all four of them. Just put your finger on, or your thumb. Push them aside. And lift the lid up. In this case, it is right there. We don't have to do much else.

Take the air filter and pull it out. There you have it. This one looks good. It’s in good shape and good condition. It's fairly new. So I'm going to put it right back in. Guide it down in. I got to lift the cover up. Make sure it's seated correctly. There we go. Now all four tabs line up again, so to push them back on, you got to snap them up in. Same on these two. And the last one. Make sure that no hoses came off, nothing came disconnected.

Now we'll reconnect our plastic. This goes underneath the air box. Well, first it goes down this way, sorry. Let's see what's happening here. There we go. So align this plastic piece up. It's got the V shape in it. You're going to line it right up with that indent plastic. And then this side will go inside the air the battery box, on top of the air cover. Then we have the plastic cover over here. There you go.
