How to check your oil level on 18 Mazda 3
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
Hi, everyone. Sue here at 1A Auto. And today on our 2018 Mazda 3, I'm going to show you how to check your engine oil. You need any parts for your car, click on the link below and head on over to 1aauto.com.
The hood release location is on the driver's side, left side of your knee. It's located with the car and the hood open. It's the lever right there. I'll show you. You lift it up and right in the center is the lever that's the hood lock latch. Bring it over to the driver's side. You lift your hood. The prop rod's in the front and the location is clearly marked with an arrow.
On the Mazda 3, 2.5 liter, we have the oil filler cap, clearly marked with the symbol of the oil and the grade of oil, 0W20. Right beside it is easily marked is the dipstick. Yellow handle on it. Pull that out. You can check the fluid level. You’ve got the two dots—that's low and that's high or full. So you always want the fluid in between, never above that highest mark.
To check your level, you clean the dipstick after you pull it out. Put it back in all the way down, and then check your level. We're right in the safety zone. It's right where it should be in between the two marks. And this engine is warm. That's perfect. Always make sure you put your dipstick back in there and all the way down.
