Use the TowHaul Button on Your Truck for Better Performance

All right. So I've got this 2013 RAM 1500, and I love this truck and I especially love the Hemi engine. And this is kind of one of my favorite parts of this truck. So I'm gonna come right down here to this button right there. You can see it says tow/haul. I love that it says haul. Go ahead and push that button, that's gonna drop the transmission down into a different range of gears, essentially. So it's essentially gonna change the shift ability of my transmission so that I can cruise along, and I get a little bit more pep. Let's try it out. That's Hemi power baby.

So I'm cruising down the highway now, and I'm gonna go ahead and push on that tow/ haul button. I wanna see what happens to the RPMs. The RPMs just shot right up. I can feel a lot more power in my truck and it definitely feels like it's good to go. One thing that you wanna note about this is, of course, with higher RPMs, you're going to be using a lot more gas. So it doesn't really make much sense while you're on the highway to drive consistently with your tow/haul button on. Now, if you're the type of person that's looking strictly for fuel economy, obviously, you don't need to go ahead and push this button unless, of course, you're towing something or maybe pushing a little bit of snow if you have a plow for some reason on here.

Aside from that, if you're the type of person that maybe likes to be able to feel all eight cylinders all the time and that little extra boost of power that the Hemi loves to give, go ahead and give that little button a push, and let me know how you like it. For an added bonus for a little bit of extra power off the line, you can go ahead and push both of these buttons at the same time. You're gonna see the lights come on right on your dash up on here. And at that point, what it's gonna tell you is you're ready to go.

Okay, friends, now you see what my favorite button is on this RAM 1500. I'm sure you can understand why, if you got eight cylinders and maybe you got a Hemi like me, you wanna kind of feel all that power. If the eco is popping on there, well, that's great and everything for if you're just cruising down the highway, driving 65 for hours and hours and hours. But aside from that, if you're driving through the city, stop and go, or even if you're stuck in a little bit of traffic, it's nice to have all that power for when you need it.
