Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
Your oil dipstick is your only means of checking the level and condition of the oil in your engine. These ends can become broken off. Sometimes they get lost during service, or if oil changes are neglected, the old dirty oil or sludge can stain and burn the ends of the dipstick, making it difficult to get an accurate reading. Replacement is simple and will restore your ability to accurately check your oil level and drive with confidence.
Here we have the old dipstick which we removed from our vehicle and our new oil dipstick from 1Aauto.com. As you can see, we have the same handle here. They're the same length. They've got the same rotation of the dipstick. As you can see, the hash marks are the exact same length, meaning we'll have the exact same oil reading on both dipsticks.
Remove the dipstick, wipe it off, reinstall it, and check your oil level. You can see we're just below the low hash mark here. The reason we're doing this is to ensure that our new dipstick has the exact same reading as our original part.
Our new dipstick from 1A Auto. We'll ensure that it's clean and install it into the dipstick tube, pull it out, and confirm that we have the same oil level readings. We do. The end on that dipstick was a little straight. This has a nice bend to it there.
We have the same reading, just below the low level mark. This new dipstick from 1A Auto is going to go in and look and function the same as the original equipment, still give you an accurate and clear reading of your oil level, and fix you up right.
Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.
