Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks!
Welcome to another how-to from 1A Auto. We're going to show you how to remove and reinstall the wiper arms on this 2003 Honda Civic. It's probably the same for any 2001 to 2005 Civic, and we hope you enjoy this video. Think of 1AAuto.com next time you need parts and please hit subscribe.
Items you'll need include a flat blade screwdriver, 14mm socket, ratchet, socket extensions, and a marker pen. I'm going to put a mark right where the blade is hitting the windshield. It's black, so you'll be able to see it but it really won't show. I'm going to mark this one as well.
I'll remove this rubber cap. You may want to use a little small flat blade screwdriver, and work it under there. Get it going and pull it up and off. Repeat the same process on the other side. 14mm nuts hold them on, so I've got a 14mm socket ratchet little extension. Just hit them to break them loose and repeat the same process on the other side. To remove, just push down a few times and then pull the wiper arm up and off. Same thing for the other side.
If you want to change the blade over to the new arm, just take the blade off, and we're just putting our old arms back on just to show you the whole process.
But you would take your new arm, put the blade on, lock it in place and then put your arms down in place and make sure that you line up with that reference mark that you made right here. Push your arm in place. Same thing over here, put it in place. Make sure your blade lines up with your reference mark, push it down on. Reinstall the two 14mm nuts that hold them in place. Hold the arm while you tighten and then put the caps back on.
