step 1 :Remove the windshield wiper arm
- Pry off the cap on the base of the wiper arm.
- Remove the 10 mm nut exposed.
- Remove the wiper arm.
- Unhook the wiper blade.

step 2 :install the new windshield wiper arm
- Hook the wiper blade onto the new wiper arm.
- Push the arm onto the stud and thread the 10 mm nut onto it.
- Use your socket and ratchet to tighten it.
- Clip the cap back over the nut.

In this video we're going to show you how to replace a wiper arm on this 2000 Nissan Altima. The only tools you're going to need for this is a flat blade screwdriver and a 10 mm socket and ratchet. At the base of the wiper arm there's a cap. Just pry that off with a flat blade screwdriver and you'll see there's a 10 mm nut there. Go ahead and remove that. Now push in on the wiper until it kind of loosens up on that stud and then you can lift it up and off of there. To separate the blade from the wiper arm, just push the tab and pull the blade down and take your new wiper arm slide the blade up on the hook and into place. Now take your wiper arm and push it down onto that stud. You want to line it up with the other wiper arm so you know it's going to be in the right position and then replace that 10 mm nut and tighten it up. Now, replace that cap and you're all set.
