Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we'll show you how to replace the driver side wiper arm on this 1998 Honda Civic. It's the same part and process on these Civics from 1996 to 2000. We show you on the driver side, but the passenger side is a similar procedure, just a different wiper arm. You'll need a new wiper arm from 1AAuto.com and a 14mm socket and ratchet or a wrench.
Start off by removing this 14mm cap right here. Now, push your wiper arm up and down, and try to break it free. You may need to move it around a bit more, and once it breaks free it will pull right up and off that stud.
You can see in the back is the old wiper arm; upfront is the new one from 1A Auto. They'll mount exactly the same.
To remove your wiper blade, just push down on the tab and pull your blade back and off. Now, push your new wiper arm through the blade and pull back to lock it. Then push it down onto that stud and replace that 14mm cap. Just tighten it out and you're all set.
