Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you how to replace a wiper on this 2003 GMC Envoy XL. We show you on the driver side, but the passenger side is the same procedure. The items you'll need for this is a 15 millimeter wrench or socket and ratchet and a flat blade screwdriver.
Start off by carefully prying up this cap with a flat blade screwdriver. Then, remove this 15 millimeter nut. Push down on the wiper arm, and if that doesn't break it free on the stud, just apply some leverage and at the same time apply some pressure to the wiper arm. Eventually it will break free, and you can lift it up and off the stud.
Okay, to change your blade over, there is different styles, but most of them have a little lever here that you push down and slide back. This one actually comes apart like that and it slides off. Put it onto your new wiper arm. Lock it in place, and then you'll want to put your wiper arm down right at the same place that your old one was, and push it on. Now, just replace that 15 millimeter nut. We'll fast-forward as Mike tightens that up. Put your cap back on.
