Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the washer bottle on this 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo. It's the same part and similar process on these Monte Carlos from 2000 to 2005. The items you'll need are a new washer bottle from 1AAuto.com, a 7mm and 10mm socket and ratchet, flat blade screwdriver, a drip pan, and jack and jack stands.
Start off by removing these two 7mm bolts. Now, remove these three 7mm bolts right here. Now, pull this panel to the side and down and your washer bottle and washer pump are right here.
Disconnect the level sensor harness, pull the washer hose free, making sure that a drip pan is below it, because fluid will typically come out, and then just disconnect your washer pump harness. Remove this 10mm bolt, and you can see ours is missing, so we won't be doing that. Then you just pull this top part of your washer bottle off. Then, you want to remove this 10mm bolt right here and this 10mm bolt right here, and then there's another 10mm bolt up along the top, right there. To give you a better reference of it, we'll show you on the new bottle; it's right here. We'll just fast forward as Mike removes those three 10mm bolts. Pull your washer bottle down and then remove these two 10mm bolts that hold the bracket on and then pull the washer pump and fluid level sensor free.
Push your level sensor and your washer pump into your new washer bottle and then replace the bracket and those two 10mm bolts that hold it into place and tighten them up.
Then, feed your washer bottle back up into place. Once you've got all the holes lined up, just replace that top 10mm bolt first and then tighten it up and tighten up the other two bolts as well. Now replace those two harnesses and reconnect the washer hose. Just fast forward as Mike replaces those five 7mm bolts. You may have to unclip this and move it out of the way. Push it in, rotate it up, and replace your bolt. Clip this harness back up in place and refill.
