In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the trunk lock cylinder on this '95 Accord. It's pretty much the same as any '94 to '97 Accord. The only tools you'll need are a 10mm socket with ratchet and an extension and a regular flat-blade screwdriver.

To replace the trunk lock cylinder on an Accord, you're going to want to open the trunk. I popped it using the cable latch inside. Then if your latch inside doesn't work or whatever, there is a little release right here on the inside that you can get to if you fold your seat down. Up inside there's a little rod that goes to the lock here, to the back of the lock. Just take your screwdriver, kind of pry this plastic apart and pull that rod out. Now, remove this 10mm bolt here. Now, you want to grab your lock and twist it and pull it down and out. Then, obviously, replacing is the opposite. Put it in, push it up in, and twist. Reinstall your bolt, tighten it, make it firm. Doesn't have to be too tight. Take your rod and the clip and push. Okay, you're all set.
