In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a trunk piston on this 2004 Volkswagen Jetta, and the only tool you'll need for this is a flat-blade screwdriver.
The trunk pistons are located right here and we're just going to show you the process on one of them but it's the same on both. You just want to pry out this tab and then pull the piston off that stud. Repeat that at the top of the piston.
Now take your new trunk support piston and just push it onto those two studs. You may need to push the trunk back a little to do that. Then you're all set.
