Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the transfer case motor on this 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500, and the only tool you'll need is a T40 bit and a ratchet.

You can see our vehicle is up on the lift. You don't actually have to do this, it just makes it easier to show you, but, if you come down underneath the driver's side, you can see right here is your transfer case motor; and it's secured with four T40 bolts. There's one here, one there, one up top and one right there. We'll just fast forward as Don removes these.

You want to put a drip pan underneath the motor, because a little bit of oil will come out. You just pull that out and then you push the tab on this clip here and disconnect that harness.

To reinstall, you just want to reconnect the harness at the top, line up the motor and replace those four T40 bolts. We'll just fast forward as Don replaces those other bolts, and tightens them up. You want to tighten them to 30 to 35 foot-pounds.
