Can see the throttle body, let's get the electrical connector off of here. Slide this red tab. That's the lock. Then press right in the center. And draw this off. Hopefully. There it is. There's gonna be another connector on the other side, you're gonna do the same thing. Now that both of those are off, we're gonna loosen this clamp. Give it a little wiggle, get it off of there. Let's move along to the mounting bolts using an 8-millimeter. There it is, friends. Nasty. The next thing we're gonna do is clean down this area. You want to pay special attention to this seal. Make sure it's not ripped or cracked anywhere. That one looks really good. I'm gonna take a little bit of brand new oil. It's gonna go right along this seal. Just a light amount of lubrication. Okay, let's get our new throttle body on here. Got the bolts. Le's go ahead and slide them through. We're gonna start all these in before we snug any of them up. Let's bottom these out very lightly. Awesome. Let's torque these to 89 inch-pounds. All those are torqued. Connect in your electrical connectors, press, listen for a click, make sure you lock it down. Do the same to both. That hose on there, snug it up. You only have to tighten it until it's snug enough to hold the hose. Awesome.
Rough idle, poor performance, and a check engine light are all signs of throttle body problems. If a thorough cleaning didn’t resolve the issues, you may need to replace the assembly. How to install a new, engineered to fit TRQ throttle body on your 2008-12 Jeep Liberty.
