Here are the items you'll need for this repair: Phillips and flat head screwdriver, replacement bulbs, and gloves
To remove the third brake light cover, we'll remove these two Phillips head screws. Once our two screws are out, reach underneath the lens, and carefully peel it up off of the car.
Disconnect the hose here to the rear window washer and the electrical connector at the end by pushing down and pulling it away. Remove the tabs on both ends and on the top here, and use a small flat blade screwdriver to help push this assembly out, because these tabs can be very delicate. Just pulling on the whole assembly can break things.
You just want to carefully pry up on the red plastic, push out on the chrome part at the same time, and make sure that it releases. It may require you to work it back and forth a few times. You can now access any of the bulbs within the housing.
Remove the bulb by wiggling it out of its socket. The new one simply pops back in. Change out whatever bulbs have gone bad here. Reinstall the bulb tray into the back of the housing, being sure that the connector faces the opposite side of our washer nozzle. Press it until all the clips seat back into place.
Reconnect the electrical connector. The push tab faces in to the back of the housing. Reconnect your rear window washer nozzle hose. Lay the cover back into place and reinstall your two Phillips head screws. Check for proper operation of your third brake light and rear window washer nozzle, and you're good to go.
