How to replace the third brake light bulb on 08, 09, 10, 11, 12 Ford Escape

step 1 :Removing the Third Brake Light
- Remove the Phillips screws from the housing
- Open the lift glass
- Pry up the third brake light housing with a trim tool
- Pry the third brake light out
- Disconnect the hose with a trim tool or flat blade screwdriver
- Disconnect the wiring harness
step 2 :Servicing the Driver Side Tail Light Bulb
- Remove the back bulb container from the assembly with a pick
- Pull the bulb straight off of the socket
- With gloves on, press the new 194 bulb to the socket
- Press the bulb container to the brake light
step 3 :Installing the Third Brake Light
- Connect the wiring harness to the third brake light housing
- Connect the washer hose to the third brake light housing
- Insert the third brake light into place
- Close the lift glass
- Tighten the Phillips screws to the third brake light
