In this video, we're going to show you how to check and replace your third brake and cargo light in the 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. The only items you'll need include a Phillips head screwdriver and a replacement bulb if necessary.
Remove these two Phillips head screws. Pull out your third brake light housing. Disconnect the electrical connector on the back. To check either the cargo lights or the third brake light, you can simply inspect the bulb from the bottom side.
If you need a better look at it or if the bulb needs to be changed, give a quarter turn counterclockwise, and any of these bulbs come right out. If you need to replace it, it simply pops out, pop a new bulb in.
Line up these tabs with the slots in the housing. Quarter turn clockwise. Reconnect your electrical connector. Reinstall your two Phillips head screws.
Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.
