How to Replace Tail Lights 2014-19 Toyota Tundra

How to install, repair, fix, change or replace a broken, damaged, burned out, cracked, faded, cloudy or chipped tail light / brake light on 14 Toyota Tundra.

  1. step 1 :Removing the Tail Light
    • Remove the two T30 Torx bolts from the tail light
    • Pull the tail light straight out
    • Pull the harnesses out of the clips
    • Disconnect the wiring harnesses
  2. step 2 :Installing the Tail Light
    • Connect the wiring harnesses
    • Press the tail light into place
    • Tighten the two T30 Torx bolts

    Ratchet

Open the tail gate. To remove the tail lamp assembly, there's a T30 Torx bolt here and a T30 Torx bolt here. Using a torn bit and a ratchet, remove them. Let's pull it straight out. Pulling it off of these two pins here. To remove the tail lamp assembly. Push the harness out of this connector here. Just unplug these connectors, pushing in the locks to unlock them. Do the same for all three. Take the assembly off.

Here's the original tail light assembly pulled from our vehicle. Here's our brand new one from 1aauto.com. It is an exact match from the original. It will fit great and work great in your vehicle.

Reinstall it. Plug all our harnesses back on. They'll click when they lock into place. Push this back in. And these two tabs is going to go on the lower part. One will go on the upper one. Get them lined up. Push them in. Reinstall our bolts. Tighten them up. This procedure will be identical for the other side. It gets tight. Just stop.
