Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!

To change your tail light bulbs, there's a marker light bulb here in the outside, and a marker light bulb up here. Your brake light bulb is down here and your reverse light bulb is here. I need to open the trunk. We've already unlatched this.

To get to the back side of this light, I'll take a flat bladed screwdriver and remove this whole trim clip. Screw it out, then you can pop it up and out of the metal and just fold it back. The marker light bulb that's on the top, I'm going to reach in, it might be easier to unplug it first. I'm going to push in on the lock tab and unplug the harness from the socket, make it a little easier to turn.

I turned it counterclockwise. It's kind of deep inside the sheet metal so it's a little tricky to get enough grip on it, but it's a 7443 double filament. I'm going to reinstall it. I'm just going to feel around for the locks, it should slide into place and then turn it clockwise. It'll lock into place.

Reconnect the connector. The reverse light bulb is right here. I'm going to do the same. I'm going to unplug it, push the connector in, the lock. Pull it out and turn it counterclockwise. This is a 7440 single filament bulb. That's for the reverse light. Put it back into place. Just have to find the locks, turn it clockwise, it'll snap into place. Plug the connector back in. There it is. Brake light bulb. I'm going to push this lock in, pull the connector out. Turn it counterclockwise, remove it. It's also a 7440, so these bulbs are push-in type.

To replace it, you just pull it out of the socket. You can go in either direction. You just replace it, and slide it in. It'll snap in. You'll put it back in the housing, spin it around until I find the locks. Turn it clockwise to lock it. Turn the outside marker light bulb. Again, I will unplug it and turn it clockwise, counterclockwise to unlock it. Sometimes these bulbs, the sockets are really buried in there and it's hard to get the finger strength to turn them. You can very carefully take some needle-nose pliers and just use those to try to get some leverage on it. That's all it took. I didn't even squeeze in on the needle-nose pliers. I just sort of used them in the open position. I just kind of went like this. I didn't squeeze them and just turned it. It's all it needed.

This is a 194 bulb. It just pulls out and snaps back in. I'll put this back in the housing. Turn it clockwise to lock it. Plug it back in. Now all those bulbs are replaced. Put your cover back. Replace that old trim screw. Screw it back into place. Those bulbs are swapped. The running light, tail light assembly that is in the truck lid has a single bulb in it. Open up the trunk lid. We can actually turn this one out. Turn it counterclockwise, and it'll unlock. It's a 194 bulb. Pull it right out. Push it right back in to replace it. If you needed to replace the socket, you can unplug it, plug it back in. Push it up into place, unlocks. Turn it clockwise, it will lock into place, and that bulb is replaced. Same for both sides.
