In this video, we're going to show you taillight replacement on this 99 Olds Intrigue, same as a 98 to 03. We're going to show you both replacing the entire assembly, as well as, if you need to just service the bulbs, and no tools are necessary.
Whether you're replacing a bulb or replacing your entire taillight, because it was damaged. You're going to start out in the trunk here. If you got a net on your car, pull that top off and unscrew this thumb screw. Pull this back. You'll see there's another thumb screw here. One further in there. On this side, it's the same thing. This vehicle has a 12 CD player. It gets in your way a little bit, but you can still get back in there, and get those out. Pulls out.
If you're just looking to change the bulbs, all these bulbs. A little tab that locks them. Turn counter clockwise. Pull out all the bulbs. Pull right from the socket like that. Make sure that gasket goes back on. If you need to change your whole taillight assembly, because of damage, you remove all your bulbs. Make sure that your gaskets stay with the lights themselves. A new light from 1AAuto. Obviously, my old one was fine, but we'll just stick this one in, just to make sure it fits OK. All the lights are secured in. Twist clockwise and lock them. I look the light in.
I'm back on the inside. I use a. There are two different types of fasteners. There's this larger wing thumb screw. We use those for these two lowers ones. Tighten the two lower ones first. Push your pad back in. This top one is different from the other two. It has the ears, so you can put the net on. There you go.
