Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace and service your taillights on this 2005 Ford Focus. There are no tools required for this. All you need are new taillights from 1AAuto.com.
On the back of your taillight you'll see these three thumb screws. We'll just fast-forward as Don twists those out by hand. Once those are removed your taillight pulls out. To disconnect these harnesses, push in on the tabs and pull it free. They can be a little difficult to remove. Just move them back and forth while pushing in those tabs, and eventually they will pull free.
To service your taillight bulbs, just twist the socket out, pull the old bulb out, push the new one in, and twist your socket back into place. For this bulb, it's the same thing. Just twist it out, pull the bulb out, push the new one in, and twist the socket back into place.
Reconnect your two harnesses, line up the studs on the taillight, and push it back into place. And we'll just fast-forward as Don replaces those three thumb screws.
