Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to service the bulbs as well as replace the entire tail light assembly on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. It's the same part and similar process on these Suburbans from 2000 to 2003. We show you on the passenger side, but the driver side is the same procedure. The items you will need for this include new tail lights from 1AAuto.com and a Phillips screwdriver.
Your taillights are held in right here with two Phillips screws. We'll just fast-forward as Don removes both of those. Now the tail light will just pull out.
To service the bulbs, you just push the tab toward the socket counterclockwise. The bulb pulls out. Push the new one in and twist the socket back in clock wise. The other two bulbs are the same procedure.
If you're replacing the assembly, push out all your sockets. On the left in the old taillight assembly and the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and they're going to fit exactly the same.
Twist your sockets into your new taillight assembly. Then just push the assembly back into place. Replace those two Phillips screws and tighten them up. Once you've done that, you're all set.
