How to Replace Tail Light 1992-94 Toyota Camry

In this video we'll be replacing a taillight and showing you both how to just replace the bulbs and the entire assembly itself on this 1994 Camry same as any 1992-1996 Camry. The only tool you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver, and if you're replacing the whole assembly you'll need an 8 millimeter socket and racket or wrench.

To change the bulbs in your taillight we're going to remove the taillight. There's two Phillips screws right here. We're going to remove them both. Now the taillight comes out some and use this hand to kind of work it under and shake it out a little bit. Pry it out. There's your taillight out to change the bulbs. You would twist, bring the bulb out. The bulbs push in and twist counter clock wise, and they go back in. Same thing with this one. This small one, same thing. Take the bulbs out and these little bulbs just pull out and push back in. Now if you're looking to replace the whole taillight then you want to go in the trunk and you can see I'm looking towards the back, there are little pins. Just use your screwdriver.

Pull the fabric back and pry those pins out. There are three of them. The two I'm working on there and then there's one missing in that hole that's down below my hand. Then once you have those out then you can just pull that trim right back and right here is your connection. You push down on a tab and pull the connector up and out and then you want to push your grommet through. Bring your harness out and there's your taillight out. New light from 1A Auto exactly the same. A little bit brighter. What I did is I removed the grommet from the harness on the new light and then push it into the tail panel of the car. I push the harness through and our new light comes with this bracket here, so we're just going to remove these to 8 millimeter bolts here and get that bracket off.
So, same as the original light. Push in the sides, push it through and our 8 millimeter bolts. We're just going to speed through putting those nuts on there and tightening them up. Then on the inside here pull your grommet through. Plug this back in. You can put your trim back up in place and here are your pins. You can see the new light from 1AAuto fits on there very nicely.
