Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you how to replace a trunk support on this 2005 Cadillac CTS, and we show you on the passenger side, but the driver's side is the exact same procedure. The only items you'll need for this is a new trunk support from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
Open your trunk. At the bottom and top of your trunk support you'll see these clips. Just pry it out with a flat blade screwdriver and then pry it off the trunk lid. Then pry out the bottom clip and it should pull right off.
Take your new trunk support, pry out that bottom clip, push it into place, and push that clip in. Do the same with the top one, and then just push the clip in to lock it. Then you're all set.
