step 1 :Replacing the Back Up Light
- Remove the two T20 Torx Screws.
- Pull the light out.
- To change bulb twist the socket out and pull the bulb straight out. Push the new bulb in and twist the socket back into place.
- Twist the socket into the new light.
- Push it into place.
- Replace the two screws.

In this video, we are going to replace the backup light and reflector on this 2001 PT Cruiser, same as any 01 to 05. Pretty easy repair. To use the same light for both sides you just flip them over. The only tool you will need is a T20 torx driver.
Okay. These backup lights, they get wiped out if you back into something or something like that. You can see mine is fine but I am going to show you how to replace it here. New one from 1A Auto, exact same. You need a T20 torx driver or torx bit. Just remove these two screws.
Okay, the light comes out. If you are just looking to replace the bulb, you would just twist and release. The bulb comes right out and goes right back in. The new light from 1A Auto just comes with a little protector. Stick that right there for now. The new bulb goes in. Click to lock. Right in the same way. I'm just going to take a little bit of penetrating oil and spray the screws a little bit. All set.
