Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to service the bulb as well as replace the entire assembly on one of your backup lights on this 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo. We show you on the passenger side, but the driver side is the same procedure. The only tool you'll need for this is a T20 Torx driver.
On either side of your backup light there's a T20 screw, just go ahead and remove both of those. Then pull the assembly out and twist your socket out counterclockwise. To service the bulb, you just pull out the old bulb and push in your new bulb.
Then twist your assembly back on clockwise, and push the light back into place. Replace those two T20 screws, and you're all set.
