step 1 :Removing the Side Marker Light
- Cover a flat blade screwdriver with a rag to protect your paint
- Pry out the side marker light with the flat blade screwdriver

step 2 :Servicing the Marker Light Bulb
- Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise out of the light
- Pull the bulb out of the socket
- Push the bulb onto the socket
- Twist the socket clockwise into the light

step 3 :Installing the Side Marker Light
- Push the marker light into place starting at the front

In this video, we're going to show you how to service or replace the rear, red, side marker light on this 2003 Nissan Maxima. It's pretty much the same for any 2000 to 2003. The only tools you'll need are a flat blade screwdriver and some type of rag or paper towel or something like that.
Servicing the rear side marker light is pretty easy. Take a rag and you want to go in about an inch or so from the back of the light. Pry it out carefully. Then the light comes right out.
Twist counterclockwise and then it comes out with this bulb. It just pulls out like that. Put it back in. Push it back in, clockwise to lock.
You want to put the front in first.
