Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you how to replace the rear interior door handle on this 1998 Honda Civic. We show you on the driver side, but it's the same procedure for the passenger side. The only tools you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver and a flat blade screwdriver.
Behind the door handle you'll see this Phillips screw. Just go ahead and remove that. Slide your door handle forward and pull it out. On your door handle rod you can see this clip here. Use a flat blade screwdriver and just push it off. Then lift the rod up and out of the door handle.
Take your new door handle, put the rod back into place, and reclip it. Push the door handle back into place and slide it back. Then put the screw onto the Phillips screwdriver, feed it into the door handle, and tighten it. Now you're all set.
