Learn what steps are needed to replace the rear inside door handle yourself on the 07-14 Toyota FJ Cruiser with this how-to video
Hey friends, it's Len here at 1A Auto. Today I'm working on a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser and I want to show you how to do a rear door, inside door handle. It's going to be a very easy job, I want to be the one that shows you how to do it. If you need this, or any other part, you can always check us out at 1AAuto.com, thanks.
So I'll just show you on the new one real quick, this is what we're dealing with. You've got a little clip back here, all I'm going to do is stick my pocket screwdriver in like this, I'm going to push down on this here until it forces this clip out. Once it comes out you just slide off the old handle.
So here we go. Pocket screwdriver, ... there goes my little clip, the handles just going to slide right off, just like that. Take a look at it. All right. Over here we have our 2007 FJ inside rear door handle, or rear inside door handle I guess you would say. That's what the backside looks like, got our little clip that we pulled out, here's our new one. Brand new clip. Even comes with a brand new washer, lines up on there perfect, there really isn't too much to say about this. Look about the same, I don't see any reason why this wouldn't be a quality part to install into the vehicle so I'm going to go ahead and do it. If you need this or any other part, you can always check us out at 1AAuto.com, thanks.
Okay, so this is going to be so simple to put on, all we're going to do is make sure we have our little washer. You've got your little slots, they line up with those little pitons, just push it on there. Then here comes the fun part, go like this, give it a nice little bonk.
There we go, easy peasy. Nice.
