How to replace a torn or loose rear hatch door pull handle on 04 Toyota Highlander.

  1. step 1 :Removing the Pull Handle
    • Open the hatch
    • Pry off the cap with a trim tool
    • Remove the 10mm bolt
    • Remove the handle
  2. step 2 :Installing the Pull Handle
    • Insert the pull handle to the hatch
    • Tighten the 10mm bolt to the handle
    • Press on the cap

Tools needed

  • Socket Extensions

    10mm Socket

    Ratchet

    Trim Tool Set

Open the hatch. On the pull handle here, we remove this plastic cap using the plastic trim tool. Use a 10 millimeter socket, extension, and a ratchet to remove this bolt. Take the grab handle out.

To reinstall the pull handle, put the bolt through the metal bracket. 10 millimeter socket. Tighten it. Reinstall the plastic cap. The pull handle is reinstalled.
