Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video we're going to show you how to replace the rear transmission mount on this 2004 Volkswagen Jetta. It is a manual transmission with the 1.8 turbo engine. The tools you'll need for this is a 13mm and 16mm socket and ratchet, and jack and jack stands. Your rear transmission mount is located right here. To remove it you want to remove these two 16mm and these two 13mm bolts. We'll just fast forward as Don removes both of those. Once those are removed, the transmission mount will just pull free.
Take your new transmission mount, push it into place, and replace those two 13mm bolts. We'll just fast forward as Don replaces the two 16mm bolts and then tightens all four of them up. Once they're all nice and tight you're all set.
