How to Replace Rear Door Speaker 2008-12 Ford Escape

1. step 1 :Removing the Rear Door Panel 0:30

   • Pry up the trim piece from the door pocket with a pick
   • Remove the Phillips screw from the door pocket
   • Pry up the trim piece from the door
   • Disconnect the window switch wiring harness
   • Pull back the interior door handle and remove the trim piece behind the door handle with a pick
   • Remove the T30 screw from the door handle trim
   • Remove the three Phillips screws from the door panel
   • Pry out the door panel clips around the perimeter with a trim tool
   • Lift the door panel up
   • Remove the inner door cable from the door handle

2. step 2 :Removing the Rear Door Speaker 2:44

   • Remove the 6mm screws from the speaker
   • Slide the speaker forward
   • Disconnect the wiring harness

3. step 3 :Installing the Rear Door Speaker 3:26

   • Connect the wiring harness
   • Press the speaker into place
   • Tighten the 6mm screws to the speaker

4. step 4 :Installing the Rear Door Panel 4:05

   • Connect the door handle cable to the door panel
   • Press the door panel into place
   • Tighten the Phillips screws to the end of the door panel
   • Tighten the T30 bolt to the door handle
   • Connect the window switch wiring harness
   • Press the window switch trim into place
   • Tighten the Phillips screw to the door pocket
   • Replace the interior door handle trim
   • Replace the door pocket trim piece
