How to replace a rear dome light bulb on 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 Ford F-150
Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years.
Hi everyone. Sue here from 1A Auto and today I'm going to show you how to remove the back dome light bulbs and replace them in a 2011 Ford F-150.
So here we have our dome light assembly. There's a little keyway in the back here. It's a little slot where the plastic opens up. I just take a pocket screwdriver. I'm going to push in there and just pry down. The lens should come right off. There we go. Yeah, a little brute force there. Now, that comes down, there's no damage done to anything. We have three identical bulbs here, they're all the same.
This is the map light side, and that's the map light side for there, and then we have the door light bulb. They all come out the same. I'm going to choose one that's not hot. That's how they come out. They have a double prong arm. On the end cap here it says PLW 578. So I would say, ask your parts person for that bulb or your Ford dealer should know it by application. Just put it back in, up in both little prongs and you're ready to go. See if it'll work again. Nice. Put the cover back on. Line up the buttons and just push. It snaps back up.
