How to replace a cracked, broken, or loose rear interior dome light on 09 Honda CR-V

step 1 :Removing the Dome Light
- Pry off the dome light cover with a flat blade screwdriver
- Pull the bulb out of the dome light by hand

step 2 :Installing the Dome Light
- Slide a SV8 bulb into the dome light
- Test the bulb with the switch
- Clip the dome light cover into place using the locating tab

Open the rear hatch. I'm going to take a flat blade screw driver and just pry in here and right here to release the cover. Pull the cover off. To grab the bulb I just grab it with my fingers and there's the bulb.
This bulb is a SV8 bulb. I'm going to slide it right back in there like that. You can test it before we put the cover on. Get the cover on. You want to slide these two tabs in on this side and then you push it right up there.
