Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
We will remove the overflow hose from the radiator. So just be careful, this is plastic, you don't want to break it. Pull that off. This just slides onto a bracket. Just want to try to lift it straight up. Sometimes they get stuck—kind of work it back and forth. It does have some coolant in it, so let's drain it afterward and dispose of it properly. That's if I can get it off of here. Take the cap off. Put that right here. Pinch in here. There it is. So, basically just sliding off of this bracket here. I'm going to dispose of the coolant that's in here.
Here's our original coolant overflow reservoir from our vehicle. It's kind of old and yellowed. Full mark, low mark, has the hose and cap on it. So, our brand new one from 1A Auto. Full mark, low mark, comes with a new hose and a new cap. It'll slide right into place and replace the old one. So, we'll slide the new one right over the bracket. Snap and it locks in place.
Put the new hose on and it fits with a pretty good with a nice, tight seal, but it also came with a small clamp. The original one didn't have a clamp but it is a nice feature to have that clamp on here. I'm just going to orientate it in a way that it's not pointing upwards. Point it this way, that way, if you're leaning under the hood, you don't catch these parts sticking up. So, I'll just turn it down like that. Same thing with this one, you can turn it down.
Can just open the cap. Top it off with the appropriate 50/50 mixture of coolant and water that the vehicle calls for. Install the cap.
