In this video we're going to show you how to replace the coolant overflow bottle on this 2000 Nissan Altima. The only tools you'll need for this is a 10mm socket and ratchet, a pair of pliers and a funnel. Start off by removing this 10mm bolt. Now your coolant bottle will lift up and out. Use your pair of pliers to pinch the teeth together on the hose clamp and slide it forward and pull the hose off. Now we're just going to put the old one back in because there's nothing wrong with it, but you would replace the hose, slide the hose clamp forward, and then push the new coolant bottle down into place and replace that 10mm bolt and tighten it up. Now you'll want to refill your coolant bottle. Just use a funnel and coolant and fill it to the max fill. You'll want to run your vehicle for a little while and just check your coolant periodically to make sure it is at the right level.
