Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks!
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the driver's power master window switch on this 2003 Honda Pilot. It's a pretty easy procedure. All you'll need is a flat blade screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver.
First, you need to pry up the trim plate. There's a separation at the lower part. Put your flat blade screwdriver under there and pull up. Then it's also held in in the front, but the whole thing should come up and out. Then you need to disconnect the three harnesses. They all have little tabs. The first one, the tab is facing the front of the vehicle; the second one, the tab faces the side; then the blue one the third one the tab faces back.
Four Phillips screws hold the switch to the trim plate. Just remove those. The switch separates from the trim plate.
Put your replacement back in place and just reverse the order. I like to put in place, then just place the screws down in, get them started, and then tighten them up. You are putting the screws into plastic, so when you tighten them up you don't want to over-tighten them. You don't want to strip out the plastic threads.
Get your panel back in place and reconnect the three harnesses: the blue one in back; the white one in front; and the red one is kind of in the middle. They only connect one way. Then put the front of the panel down and in place first. Then snap the rest of it into place.
Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.
