Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks!
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the single switch. This is on either the passenger door or the rear doors. This is a 2008 Dodge Ram. Same for 2002-2008, as well as the '09 2500 and 3500 models.
You'll need a new switch from 1A Auto, 10mm socket and ratchet with an extension, Phillips screwdriver, and a small flat blade screwdriver.
Open up your door. You'll need to remove the inside door handle. There's a 10mm bolt right in here. Remove that. As it's coming off, just pull it right out with the bolt in it. Remove this Phillips screw. Lift up and off. You can bring it up and out. There's a tab right on top of your window switch harness. Pull that off.
Insert your screwdriver and pop one side. Insert your screwdriver and pull it out.
To reinstall your switch, remove the door lock bezel. Push in on these tabs. Push it up and off. The two tabs on the bottom, you just preliminarily line them up and rest in there.
Then, as you bring the panel close, connect to your harness. Push your door lock locked. Push the panel on, and then down into place. Unlock your door. Put the bezel back in place. Reinstall the Phillips screw that holds the panel. Reinstall your door handle. Have your wrench lined up. Basically, work it into place, and tighten it up.
Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.
