Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a door lock switch on this 2004 Crown Victoria. We show you on the passenger side, but the driver side is a similar procedure. The only item you'll need for this is a flat blade screwdriver.
Using a flat blade screwdriver, just pry up the switch panel and pull straight up to release that last clip. Then push the tab on both of these harnesses and pull them free. Now pry out the tabs on the back of the switch here.
There are two of them: one on each side. You just want to pry them out and pull the switch up. You can also push on it from the other side.
Push your new switch into place, then reconnect your two harnesses, and then push the back end of the panel in first, and then push it down into place and you're all set.
