Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the steering wheel mounted personalized setting switch on this 2003 GMC Envoy XL. The items that you'll need for this include a new personalized setting switch from 1AAuto.com, a flat blade screwdriver, and a part of pliers.
Carefully pry out on the switch with a flat blade screwdriver, and you want to angle it so you can get in behind it. Press on the tab on the middle of the harness to disconnect the harness, and the switch will pull free.
You can see the switch from 1A Auto is very similar and will fit exactly the same and work the same.
Take your pair of pliers, grab on to the harness, and then just push the switch back on to the harness. It may take a couple tries to line it up, but once you get it, you'll hear it click. Then, just push the switch back into place.
Put your key into accessory and then just test it out. You can see it works, so you're all set.
