Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a power mirror switch on this 1996 Chevy Tahoe. The only items you need for this include a new power mirror switch from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
Start off by prying up the back of your switch pack. You just want to pry it up with screwdriver so you can get your fingers underneath, then just lift it out, and then slide it back.
Now, using your flat blade screwdriver, pry back on this tab and pull the harness free. Next, just pry back on this tab, and then you can lift the switch up and out.
On the left, this is a new switch from 1A Auto; on the right is the old one. You can see they're identical, and they'll fit exactly the same. Take your new switch and push it straight down into place, and then reconnect your harness. Slide this tab forward, and then push the back end of your switch panel down into place, and you're all set.
