In this video, we're going to show you how to take out and put back in the mirror, the power mirror switch, on this '98 Explorer. All you need is a small screwdriver.
The power mirror switch on a Ford Explorer is really easy, but I can see you being hesitant to pry this out of here. Use a flat-blade screwdriver, carefully work it in there behind the top, and then the bottom, and it comes right out. One side of the connector has a little tooth that holds it, so I just use my screwdriver again, and try not to stab myself. Shift to this side; it's a little easier. Your switch is off.
Obviously, when you're reinstalling, plug it back in, and push it in.
