Hi, this is Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how to video helps you out. Next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a side rear view mirror on this 2003 Honda Odyssey, same as any 1999 to '04 Odyssey. We'll show you the driver side. Passenger side is the same. The procedure is the same. Tools you'll need are a small flat blade screwdriver, a Philips screwdriver and a 10mm wrench or a 10mm socket with a ratchet.

Start with a small screwdriver. When you look into this cup here, there's a little trap door. Pry up and you can see a Philips screw there. There would be another trap door here but it's missing on this vehicle but there's a Philips screw there. Okay, remove these two Philips screws. Then pull up and then back on this and pull it out. There's two connectors. They both have these little tabs, right in the middle top here on this blue one. Press it down. Then this brown one, press down, pull it out. The door handle pulls forward and then out. Again, there's a clip here on a rod. Just push that clip either with your finger or the screwdriver. Push that clip around. Pull the rod up and out. Then there's a connector here. Pull that off.

Small screwdriver right up here. Pull this out a little bit. Work the screwdriver underneath to pry it out. Pull that out. Lift the bottom and work your finger underneath and pull firmly. Release the clips. They're probably not going to release if your door panel's never been off, it may be a little more difficult to release but release those clips. Lift your panel up and off. Then your speaker is connected right down here and the tab is kind of, there's two tabs on each side. Just squeeze the connector and pull it off.

Now use a flat blade screwdriver. In the top corner of the door, there's a little plug that holds the water shield on then carefully pull back the water shield and you can see the plug for the mirror. There's a little tab. Press with your thumb and disconnect the mirror. Get your blade screwdriver and pry the clip that holds the harness to the door. Now, there's four 10mm bolts to be removed, one, two, three and a fourth one over here. I'll speed it up here a little bit as I remove those four bolts. I'm using a 10mm socket with a ratchet using some extensions but extensions aren't really necessary. You could also use just a regular 10mm wrench. Now you can just grab the mirror carefully and gasket sticks a little bit but then it pulls right out of the door.

Okay, as you can see, our original mirror is in fine shape. We're going to reinstall it. Rest assured, if you order a mirror from 1A Auto, it's going to be just like the original. It's going to have the plug just like the original and bolt on with all the original hardware and everything. Put the harness in and put the mirror in place. Hold it in place. Start the bolts. I'm going to speed it up here. I started all four bolts first. Then kind of preliminary tighten them and then tighten them up. When you tighten these bolts, you want to tighten them firm but don't over tighten them as you could damage the mirror if you over tighten them. As you can see here, put the clip back in the door. Reconnect the harness and put your water shield back in place as well as put that little clip that holds the water shield in place.

Reinstall the speaker. Put the speaker back in. Make sure the door is unlocked. Put this right back up. Push the lock out. Get the lock button started in there. Push it against the window sill and down. Okay. Make sure you unlock your window there. You have to knead all those tabs. Okay. This, there's a little tab at the bottom. Push that in and down. Your door handle, reconnect the door lock if you have it. Pull this rod out. Put it down in. Flip the clip early on and lock it on. Okay. The handle goes in. Just slide it back. This, reconnect the blue clip in the back. Brown clip. Put the plug in first. Slide it forward, down and in. Put the screws back on.
