How to Replace Mirror 2004-12 Chevy Colorado

How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a broken, smashed, cracked, or shattered rear side view mirroron 2004-2012 Chevy Colorado models.

step 1 :Removing the Mirror
- Pry off the triangle panel at the top of the door panel.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the three 10mm bolts that secure the mirror.
- Pull the mirror out of the door.

step 2 :Replacing the Mirror
- Push the mirror into place.
- Replace the three 10mm bolts.
- Reconnect the harness.
- Push the triangle panel down into the door panel and snap it in.

In this video, I'm going to show you how to replace a side rear view mirror on this 2004 Chevy Colorado, pretty much the same as any '04 to 12 Colorado. I'll show you the driver side. Passenger side is the exact same procedure. It is pretty simple. Only tool you'll need is either a 10mm wrench or a 10mm socket with a ratchet.
The mirror is pretty easy. Take this panel. You got to grab it and kind of pull it out firmly. Then pull it up. You can see the mirror plugs in right here. Disconnect that by pressing down on the tab here pulling out. Then three 10mm hold it in. Remove the mirror or whatever is left of it. As you can see, my original is in good shape. New mirrors from 1A Auto are going to be exactly the same as the original. Put it right back on. Hold it in place. Start your first bolt in. Put this down in. Pull the door panel up just a little bit to put it down there in place and snap it up in.
