How to Replace Master Window Switch 2010-16 Cadillac SRX

How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a damaged, worn out, faulty or shorted power window switch on 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 Cadillac SRX

step 1 :Removing the Master Window Switch
- Pry up the master window switch and trim with a trim tool
- Disconnect the wiring harnesses
- Press the tabs on the side of the switches with a pick
- Remove the switches

step 2 :Removing the Mirror Switch
- Press the tabs on the backside of the mirror switch with a pick
- Remove the switches

step 3 :Installing the Mirror Switch
- Press the mirror switch into the trim piece

step 4 :Installing the Master Window Switch
- Press the window switches into the trim piece
- Connect the wiring harnesses
- Press the switches into the door panel

Hi. I'm Mike from 1A Auto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years.
We're going to pull this trim piece off. We're going to use a trim tool and go under here. Pry up. Going to be a little bit tricky over there. Can go back here and pry up back here. Some clips that are holding this down. Grab it and pull up. As you can see, these are the different retainers that were holding it down. Going to disconnect the electrical connectors. We're going to push on this little lock and pull the connector out just like that, and then the same on this one. Push that little lock and pull that connector up.
To remove the master switch, I'm gonna use a 90 degree pick tool. I'm gonna put a little pressure on the switches on the front and pry up right here. Be careful as it is in plastic. Release the locks. There's four of them. There's another one there and another one right here. Once those are released, then we can pull the master switch right out.
For the mirror switch, we're going to put a little pressure on the front and take a 90 degree pick tool. Release the locks on the back side. There's four of them. Be careful not to track the plastic. You may have to go back and forth a couple times--back to the same lock that you already did. Sometimes this can be difficult. There's one last one and then pull the mirror switch up.
To reinstall the master switch, just line it up and lock it in place.
To reinstall the mirror switch, just line it up, push it straight on, and lock it in place. We're going to connect this electrical connector here. It goes to the mirror switch, and this one goes to the master electrical switch right there. Line this up. Lock it down.
