How to remove, install, fix, change or replace a broken Mass Airflow Sensor / Meter on 09, 10, 11 Honda Pilot
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
To pop the hood, we're going to grab this little handle right here, right next to your foot rest. To release the hood, we're going to slide this little lock to the right. Prop rod is right here. Pull up on that, and there's two spots. You can either put it right there, or if you can't reach that spot, you can put it right here.
All right, we're going to disconnect the mass airflow sensor. Start by disconnecting the wire. We're going to push on this tab and then pull the connector off. We're going to take a Phillips head screwdriver and take these two screws out. They're little, so be careful not to drop them. Now we can grab the mass airflow sensor and pull it straight up.
To reinstall the mass airflow sensor, slide it down like this. There is are these two, and you want the connector facing the back of the vehicle. Push it in. Take your Phillips head screws. Line that up. I'm just going to get it started and then get the other one in.
Once they're both started, then we can snug them down. Reconnect the connector. Just slide it on till it clicks. Okay, now we're going to close the hood.
