Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the MAP sensor on this 2004 Chrysler Sebring sedan with a 2.7L engine. It's pretty much the same operation for model years 2004 through 2006. For this repair you'll need a new MAP sensor from 1A Auto, as well as a 7mm socket, swivel extension and ratchet.
You're going to find the MAP sensor on the intake manifold right there. Go ahead and press the clip and remove the connector. Next you're going to want to locate the 7mm bolt underneath the connector that holds it in place. I found that the best way to do this is with a 1/4" ratchet, 7 mm socket, the extension, and a swivel. You can get it in there and it's pretty close quarters. I'll go ahead and fast-forward as I unscrew that.
Here you see the old part up there at the top and the new part from 1A Auto. It's got the exact same connectors, two o-rings to seal it, and the same mounting points. Then go on back in, place the sensor in the hole on the intake, get your 7mm screw lined up, and I'll go ahead and fast-forward as I tighten that up. Now you can take your connecter and plug it back in.
