All right, friends. To get started on a mass airflow sensor, we're gonna first have to disconnect the wiring. If you were to look underneath the connector, you're gonna find a red tab, grab onto that with something small like a pocket screwdriver or a pick and pull it towards the front of the vehicle. Once you've done that, release the tab and separate the unit. There we are. Always check to make sure you don't see any funny colors under there. This one looks great. Now we're gonna remove our two mounting bolts, you're gonna use a T20 Torx bit to do that. Remove your mass airflow sensor, set it aside.
Now it's gonna be time to install our brand new mass air flow sensor. Let's go ahead and put it so the sensing unit is going to be facing towards where the air filter is, you don't want it facing in the opposite direction, it won't function. Go ahead and slide it right in. Start in both your bolts and then snug them up. There we are. Let's go ahead and connect in the new mass airflow sensor. Of course, lock it in and then give it a nice tug and make sure it's completely secured.
