Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the mass air flow sensor on this 2002 Suzuki XL-7. The tools you'll need for this are a flat blade screwdriver, a pair of pliers, and a 10mm socket and ratchet.

Your mass air flow sensor is right here. Start off by pushing the tab and pulling this harness free. Then do the same with this harness over here, and pull it out of that bracket. Next, you want to disconnect these two clips. Using a pair of pliers, just pull those free. Using a flat blade screwdriver, loosen up this hose clamp. Now, flip down these four clips, one in each corner of the intake box. Now, lift the top of your intake box up and out.

Now, to separate the mass air flow sensor, you have to remove these two 10mm bolts on this bracket. We'll just fast-forward as Don does this. Pull the mass air flow sensory free. Then, using your 10mm socket and ratchet, remove these 10mm bolts holding this bracket onto the air flow sensor.

Now, put the bracket onto your new mass air flow sensor and replace those two 10 mm bolts. Push the mass air flow sensor back into place on the top of your air intake box, and then replace those two 10mm bolts. Now push the top of your air intake box into that hose and then down into place. Then, re-clip it with those four clips. Push those harness clips back into the side of the air intake box, and then reconnect the harness as well as this harness over here. Make sure that you clip it back into that bracket and then tighten up that hose clamp, and you're all set.
