In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and put back on the rear hatch support struts. These are the gas struts that hold your hatch up. If you're having issues with your hatch sagging down, this is what you need to do. The only tool you'll need is a small flat-blade screwdriver.
If your hatch sags, you've probably got your own Swiffer Sweeper or whatever type item to hold up the hatch. What you want to do to fix this is, you want to replace these gas struts here. You'll either want something to hold up your tailgate, or somebody helping you out. You just pry out a little clip here. Then, once you pry out that clip, it comes off. Then, do the same thing up here. Pry the clip off, and the strut comes off.
Your new one you just pop on. Make sure the clips are on there. Lift up your tailgate. Pop it on. Then you're all set.
